Tidurlah Dian
tidurlah kau pualam bunda
hari telah malam, pejamkanlah mata
Tidurlah Dian
tidurlah anakku sayang
esok hari kita, bermain kembali
Ibu t'lah penat, asyik menyanyi-nyanyi
menidurkan engkau
anakku jauhari..
Back then years ago when I was a little kid, around third until twelfth years old or until 6th grade of elementary school
I used to hear this song, came from my mom's singing.
After memorized-reading some verses and scripture of Juz amma, telling me to speak every words contained with the letter "r" and reading night-sleep prayer, she always sang this song till I fell asleep.
We had this before-going-to-sleep ritual every night when we were lying down in my bed.
actually the song was not "tidurlah Dian". It should be "tidurlah Intan"
my mom changed it, because her only daughter is not Diamond but Candle :-)
that was the most beautiful lullaby I've ever heard.
last night, I suddenly remembered this song
and I really wanted to hear it again before I fell asleep.
sorethroat and coughing hard bothered my sleep and i needed somekind of lullaby to accompany me.
I managed to find it in the Internet and I was pretty sure I'll find it fast because you know these days, nothing can hide from Mr. google, thank God...
I typed this Tidurlah Intan into the search bar
and voila!
I got it!
wow, this song's actually a keroncong-seriosa.
I found three different people sing it, all of them are in keroncong-seriosa and one of them is sung by this famous Waljinah, the other one even sung by this foreign singer named George de Fretes.
I downloaded it directly and saved it.
I put it in my winamp playlist as the only song in it and played it all night long.
during my half-sleep I heard the lyrics's not exactly the same like my mom used to sing.
but I like my mom's version more, especially the part :
"tidurlah Dian, tidurlah kau pualam bunda"
eventhough unlike Intan, Dian is not a "pualam".
I just love the verse. Poetic^^
and here's the Waljinah lyrics :
Tidurlah Intan
tidurlah anakku manis
Hari sudah malam
pejamkanlah mata
Tidurlah Intan
tidurlah kekasih hati
Esok hari kita
bermain kembali
Reff:
Ibu t’lah penat
asyik bernyanyi-nyanyi
menidurkan engkau
anakku jauhari
Tidurlah Intan
tidurlah kekasih hati
Esok hari kita
bergurau kembali
I'm not used to keroncong, I've never heard any other keroncong-seriosa song before and maybe because of this reason, I think that My Mom's voice was more beautiful... hehhehehe ^^V
(no offense it's just my personal opinion)
this song rolled in my head for about three and four times before I sank into my dream....
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

he'em..
udah gede mah, lullaby nya macem-macem....
nggak harus dinyanyiin live, walopun kalo ada yang nyanyiin langsung sepertinya cukup menyenangkan...
